Hi Pam

Always take out the Wrens nest when they are done! Wrens work this way.

The male when looking for a potential nesting site that favors the female, will
fill any and all potential nest sites (boxes) with his sticks. Then when the
female chooses one, she will build her grass nest within the sticks. So it is
often the case, all available open nesting sites will have his sticks in them,
even when they-she is not using it!

Hope this helps
