An extralimital report (just barely): Today, at Napatree Beach, R.I.: one
Buff-breasted Sandpiper and 3 Red Knots, amongst many other shorebirds. The
birds were on the bay side of the peninsula, feeding on the exposed mudflats
in the late afternoon before low tide. The location is less than ½ mile
from the CT border and a short flight across Little Naragansett Bay to Barn
Island WMA in Stonington.
