Short on time but thanks to all who came and helped out today! A combined
6.25 hours yielded the following:
Boothe Park Hawk Watch 9/10 -- 528 diurnal raptors with 4 Turkey Vulture,
14 Osprey, 8 Bald Eagle, 48 Sharp-shinned Hawk, 3 Cooper's Hawk, 435
Broad-winged Hawk, 1 Red-tailed Hawk, 9 American Kestel, 3 Merlin, 1 UF and
2 UR. Still plenty of locals to avoid, but also 3 local BLACK VULTURE.
Passerine flight (somewhat slow) included 16 Cedar Waxwing, 9 Tree Swallow,
26 Chimney Swift, 7 Ruby-throated Hummingbird, 4 American Goldfinch, and
the highlight of 3 likely EASTERN MEADOWLARK heading west together. As
usual 1-2 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH hanging out in the spruce trees.
