I agree with Luke about the CT. And while some CTs do indeed move in August (I have seen a migrant in New Hampshire's White Mountains in August) they are pretty much just adults that move that early. The CT in question is exhibiting a very unusual behavior in hanging around the way it has, a very much "immature" behavior, but surprising even for a youngster to hang around this long!

I would guess that it's very unlikely that you had the CT Warbler there in August (Common Yellowthroat perhaps) although CT's probably do move earlier in the season than some suspect (note the Aug 23rd report from Albany NY). You'd certainly want photographs to prove a record like that.
