Yesterday, 9/29, was very active in the yard and at Camp Coch / Dog Pond
area in Goshen. Two Pine Siskins, two RB Nuthatches, 12 Purple Finches
(down from 25 a week ago), FOY Golden-crowned Kinglets and Brown Creeper were
highlights in the yard.
Among a large, fall-flavored, mixed flock at Camp Coch were three
Bay-breasted Warblers, RB Nuthatch, White-crowned Sparrow, and a Warbling Vireo
that looked a lot like a Philadelphia. There were numerous "Baypolls,"
Blackpolls, Yellow-rumps, Cedar Waxwings, Blue Jays, Juncos and White-throated
Sparrows plus the resident, Red-shouldered Hawks.
