10/13/12 - Easton, Trout Brook Valley Conservation Area -- A 70+ person
walk and subsequent survey yielded 1 GRASSHOPPER SPARROW, 1 CLAY-COLORED
SPARROW, 3 LINCOLN'S SPARROW, 42+ PURPLE FINCH, 29+ PINE SISKIN, 7+
WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, 33 AMERICAN PIPIT, 1 RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH among 59
species. Loads of common sparrows with 425+ Song, 136+ White-throated, 46+
Chipping, 11+ Field, 22+ Swamp, 34+ Savannah, etc. At least 270 American
Crow in the farm fields helped keep it quieter than usual (no Vesper, no
Snipe, no blackbirds at all really, and so on)
