Hi All,

A great HMANA conference thus far and therefore a lot of great counters around to help out with the hawkwatch yesterday. Highlights included the probable Ross's Goose, 2 Snow Geese, 1 Golden Eagle, 18 Balds and 511 raptors total. A few birds on the deck or over of note: A late Eastern Kingbird (seen well), ditto Eastern Pewee as well as a late hummer species which dropped into the pond at the bottom of the lawn but disappeared without getting good looks. Probably seen well enough to rule out selasphorus so most likely a late Ruby-throat. The usual scads of Purple Finches and Pine Siskins and a handful of Red-breasted Nuthatch and White-crowned Sparrows.
