From Alex Burdo:
11/4 - Fairfield, Pine Creek -- 1 BROWN THRASHER, 2 PURPLE FINCH, 4 PINE SISKIN, 2 WINTER WREN, 2 BROWN CREEPER, 1 possible flyover WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL (yellowish tinge to underparts, uttering finchy warbles while flying over, including a crossbill-like series. Looked more elongated than the Red Crossbills I've seen, although it was tough to tell with such a brief view) 1 Eastern Bluebird (locally rare), 4 Gray Catbird (in areas previously occupied by overwintering birds), 1 Blue-headed Vireo, 1 House Wren. Also large numbers of Black-capped Chickadee (35) and Cedar Waxwing (145). Definitely worthwhile to keep an eye out for their two rarer kin, as well as other rares that might travel among them.
Stops at Penfield Beach, Jennings Beach, and Ash Creek didn't yield much of note, although a Ruby-crowned Kinglet on the beach at Jennings was interesting.
