[CT Birds] Oh happy day! Greenwich Pt. birds

It was great to be back at Greenwich Pt. after not being there for 3 weeks.I was going through some serious birding withdrawl!   However, it was mostinteresting to see how few birds there were - hardly any sparrows, gulls,very few waterbirds.  Saw first of season Buffleheads and HoodedMerganser.  So very sad to see so many trees and dune vegetation gone.One truly amazing bright spot was the Osprey nest atop the eagle statue -still there!  Speaks well of the Ospreys' nest construction ability.Anyway there were a few good birds....
