[CT Birds] Sharpie vs Cooper's Hawk

I agree with all those who feel that the bird in Joe's photo is a
Sharp-shinned Hawk.  Greg's mention of leg/talon size is a good point.  In
order to see what a Cooper's Hawk talons look like in comparison, take a
look at the talons on this immature male "Coop" which was captured by Larry
Fischer for banding and teaching purposes. Scroll down to the 4th photo in
this set of photos, taken by Scott Kruitbosch. The talons are clearly much
heavier than those of the bird in Joe's photo.

 The bird banded by Larry was released relatively quickly and was seen
hunting nearby just a few moments later, none the worse for the experience.
