1/20/13 East Hartford, Water Pollution Control Facility - 5 NORTHERN
ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS continue. 4 birds were initially seen during the
Hartford CBC and seen again by Rick Macsuga on January 5th. If interested
in seeing them, park at 123 Pitkin Street (long driveway). Let the town
personnel know you are seeing the birds and walk east for 100 yards to the
Facility. They were seen left of the pine trees flying over the marsh and
the Facility. Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows - 1 light phase ROUGH-LEGGED
HAWK continues exactly where Dana saw it. Access via ferry landing and at
the first hard left, the bird was perched in a distant tree to the right.
Flew left to a tree visible from the road.
