Passing these along.

 From Annie Perko with Janet Weisner:
Rusty blk. birds continue at ground feeding area 4th day on and
off during day. Unusual as normally a one day event for yard. Siskins
and redpolls continue also in front yard at thistle feeder, 3 months for
siskins and over a mo. for Redpoll.  We also saw the Bullock's just
before 9A.M. yesterday at Deb's feeder in Ellington. Thanks. A lifer
for me and my sister.
Forgot to mention around 10:30 A.M. on the 19th at Mill Pond in
Broadbrook 2 snow geese and one White Fronted were found
in amongst 2,000 plus canadas.

1/20 Madison, HBSP - west pines 4 W Winged Crossbills total rept was 8-10 birds.
Two RB Nuthatchs.

 From Don Lukaszek with Janice Lukaszek: 1/19/2013 - Middletown, right hand side of Rte 9S just north of Arrigoni Bridge -- adult Bald Eagle perched at top of tree, around 125pm; Preston, Rte 2, just east of Ross Rd, HUGE flock of blackbirds flying south over Rte 2, some also perched in trees on both sides of road, around 4pm, could not stop to identify individual species in flock, rough estimate 5000+

1/20/13 - Sherman yard - COMMON REDPOLLS continued to come to the mixed seed feeders all week (1/14 - 20) varying in numbers day to day from 10 to 25 except only 3 today.  PINE SISKINS (2) on 1/14 and today.
