2/21 Rocky Hill Meadows - Two light morph ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS. It didn't seem possible to us that one bird could have been involved. We found one near the off-road riding course and then drove straight back to the spot where one had been seen yesterday. A guy parked there had one that it seems has to have been another Rough-legged staked out sitting in a tree across the field toward the river. Also 2 Bald Eagles, 2 Northern Harriers and at least 6 Red-tailed Hawks.
Ellington - McTigue feeder. BULLOCK'S ORIOLE present c 8-8:30 a.m.
Wallingford - Mackenzie Res. area. 2 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE in field of Whirlwind Hill Road with a few hundred Canadas. Also 12 AMERICAN PIPITS.
New Haven, East Shore Park - Ruby-crowned Kinglet. No N. R-w Swallows in sight mid-afternoon
Milford, Mondo Pond - EURASIAN WIGEON
