2/10/13 - 3:15pm, Low tide- Stonington Point - Borough in rough shape as Town
crews using heavy equipment to clean up narrow streets.  Access to point
doable.  Point open, but beware, big trucks coming and going through narrow
entrance as Town is dumping all the excess snow at the Point just to the left
and against sea wall as you drive in.  Tons of snow left already!  Fine for
birding as there is still room to park and glass.  3 - COMMON LOONS, RED
THROATED LOON, HORNED GREBE, RED BREASTED MERGANSERS, usual suspect GULLS around
Point, however large mass (est 250 +) of GULLS at the eastern most tip of Sandy
Point (Rhode Island side) and TURKEY VULTURE over Barn Island.  No SNOWY OWL
spotted.
