3/6  Milford,  Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center, 10:30-12:30PM, mid tide
receding, overcast, windy,  rain showers.
Viewed from windows facing marsh:
A Cooper's Hawk was hiding under the bushes by the bird feeders and flew
off when it saw me.  At feeders were 5 Common Redpolls (one being very pale
on chest and flanks),
4 Mourning doves, 5 American Tree sparrows, 2 Cardinals (m&f),  13 House
sparrows.
On marsh:
9 Mallards, 11 Mute Swans, 4 Red Breasted Mergansers- (one of the males was
swimming back & forth in front of the windows, first dipping down and then
stretching its neck and opening its bill to call), 10 Buffleheads, 7
American Wigeons, 4 Gadwalls (2 pairs),  5 American Black ducks,
28 Green winged teals, 13 Canada Geese, both Ring billed & Herring gulls,
1 Northern Harrier.
