Jamie Meyers and I spent a few hours birding in Glastonbury and Rocky Hill
Meadows noting the following:

Glastonbury, private property - 9 NORTHERN PINTAILS (7 drake and 2 hens)
with 2 American Wigeon, 12 Ring-necked Duck, 30 Green-winged Teal, 6 Wood
Duck, and many Mallards, Black Ducks and Canada Geese (all in one large
pool). Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows - 2 VESPER SPARROWS with several
Savannah Sparrows at the intersection of North Meadow Lane and Great Meadow
Road (the "T"). No Short-eared Owl seen from 8-10.
