[CT Birds] Glastonbury, Portland and Rocky Hill - various

I did some local birding this morning in the Glastonbury, Portland and
Rocky Hill area. Highlights follow:

3/24/13, Portland, Wangunk Meadows - 2 AMERICAN WOODCOCK flushed while
walking and 2 singing WINTER WRENS.  Also, 2 OSPREYS on a nest and an
active Barred Owl.  The Great Blue Heron rookery had 116 nests with 82
Herons.  Portland, Portland Fairgrounds - 6 NORTHERN PINTAIL (3 drake and 3
hens) and 2 BLUE-WINGED TEAL continue.  Glastonbury, Private Property - 3
AMERICAN PIPITS and 2,500 black birds (2/3 red-winged and 1/3 grackle).
Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill Meadows - 1 VESPER SPARROW continues.  There were
many wood ducks in all areas with a total of 49 for the morning.
