tide rising, 43-50F
Our male osprey returned on 3/22/13. As mentioned in a post by Kevin
Doyle, the male osprey was on the nest this morning, arranging branches,
preening
and it seemed to be looking for its mate. Hopefully she will show up
soon. There was another osprey flying through the marsh.
On the marsh: many Black ducks, mallards, 40+ Green winged teal, at least
12 Gadwalls, 4 Red breasted mergansers, 9 Mute swans, Canada geese, 17
Bufflehead.
On grounds- 1 American tree sparrow, cardinals singing, many Red winged
blackbirds, Robins, Common grackles, mourning doves, Song sparrows,
carolina wren singing, and 1 White throated sparrow.
