I spent a few of hours birding local areas. Highlights follow:

4/7/13 - Rocky Hill Meadows - 3 NORTHERN PINTAIL and 4 BLUE-WINGED TEAL in
a flooded pool near the "T" with 8 black ducks, 14 mallards and 35
green-winged teals. East Hartford, Rentschler Field near Cabela's - at
least 2 singing EASTERN MEADOWLARK and 8 AMERICAN KESTREL hunting in the
field (high number). South Glastonbury, Still Hill Cemetery - 1 PEREGRINE
FALCON seen at dawn, a first for South Glastonbury.

I swung by the Portland Fairgrounds at 10:15 to look for for the Eurasian
Wigeon and only saw the EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL with 2 BLUE-WINGED TEAL
and 5 green-winged teal.
