4/1/2013 The Tricolored Heron was feeding near the Osprey Platform in the marsh opposite the airfield at Sherwood Island this afternoon around 3 p.m. It was often difficult to see, as it ducked into the channels for long periods of time. It flew around a few times and sat for little bit near the osprey platform. Its head plumes are quite noticeable and its facial skin is a chromium yellow.
