4/10  Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center,  10AM-1PM, mid tide
rising, 56F,
overcast.
Viewed from windows facing marsh:
At 10AM the  male  osprey was on the perch and female on the nest.  A bit
of drama when a third osprey entered into their airspace, attempted to land
on the nest, did land on their perch and was promptly chased off by our
male.  This happened twice in the morning.
A very large flock of about 1000+ Brant strewn throughout the marsh;
Several YELLOWLEGS (greater, I believe), 2 RED BREASTED MERGANSERS (m&f), 4
GADWALLS, 20+ AMERICAN WIGEONS (did not see Eurasian wigeon), AMERICAN
BLACK DUCKS, MUTE SWANS, MALLARDS,
15+ BUFFLEHEADS,some GREEN WINGED TEALS MIXED IN, 3 SNOWY EGRETS, 5 GREAT
EGRETS, 1 D.C. CORMORANT.
On the grounds,
COMMON GRACKLES, STARLINGS, RED WINGED BLACKBIRDS, AMERICAN ROBINS,
SONG SPARROWS (many throughout property), DARK EYED JUNCOS, HOUSE SPARROWS,
MOURNING DOVES, 1 WHITE THROATED SPARROW,
2 CARDINALS, 1 R.B. WOODPECKER, 1 FISH CROW, 1 RUBY CROWNED KINGLET, 6 TREE
SWALLOWS flying thru marsh,  2 MOCKINGBIRDS, 1 PIGEON, 1 EASTERN PHOEBE,
