From Steve Broker (Cheshire):
04/17/2013 - Woodbridge, West Rock Ridge (ridge top) -- a pair of Common Ravens (remote nest site) with 5 steadily growing nestlings now at Day 19-22 since hatching. Egg-laying took place on successive days beginning March 4. Hatching occurred at 22-23 days. One of six eggs laid did not hatch and was ultimately removed by the adults.

Also, first observation today of Northern Copperhead (photographed) at hibernaculum following regular checking in late March and the first half of April. In 2012, the first copperhead observation at West Rock was a record early March 23.
