[CT Birds] Laurel Marsh Trail, Manchester

This morning, between 8:30 and 10:30:
Near and around first bridge:
Tree swallows
Barn swallows
Yellow rumped warbler
Yellow warbler
Warbling vireo (thanks to friendly and knowledgeable birder walking by)
Loop trail towards landfill:
Gold finch
Downy woodpecker & probably hairy woodpecker
song sparrow (several)
robins, red-wing blackbirds, savannah sparrows, boat-tail grackles
and a *bald eagle, *circling the pond, disappeared and reappeared carrying
nesting materials in its talons, flew back over the power lines and settled
somewhere below the tree line.
