Sorry for the late post. An Osprey pair has built a nest on the Centerfield Light Post at Byram Shore's Teufel Field. I viewed them Friday, April 26. Both Male and female were on & off the nest around noon - 1:00pm.

I was contacted by someone living in Cheshire about a possible eagle nest on or near her property. She has seen eagles nearby and at least one nest was seen last year relatively close. That nest was not monitored by the DEEP.

This nest is quite large and. However, the adult on the nest appears to have a very large, dark head. She has not seen this bird leave the nest so it is possibly on eggs.

I don't believe that eagles mate until the head is white, but I am not totally sure. Any input would be helpful.

At riverfront park there is a killdeer with a nest in the parking lot under a guardrail sitting on an egg. The bird is very stressed from dogs/people parking but especially dogs. Hopefully the chick hatches and fledges during the week when the lot is not full.

They've gotta be somewhere.
