[CT Birds] Milford Point Birds

5/8/2013: I spent some time scoping the marsh at low tide after work yesterday, and managed to pick up a few firsts for the year. 8 Short-billed Dowitchers (FOY), 16 Black-bellied Plovers, 22 Semipalmated Plovers (FOY); 12+ Semipalmated Sandpipers (FOY), 355 Dunlin (counted twice), 3 Least Terns, 4 Common Loons, 122 Double-crested Cormorants feeding with Great and Snowy egrets, and a Ruddy Turnstone. Today, 5/9, there were a number of migrating Bank Swallows (6), FOY Common Terns on the Long Island Sound side, a couple of Red-breasted Mergansers, 40 Sanderling, 60 Dunlin, 2 Willet, 1 Ruddy Turnstone, and 2 FOY Least Sandpipers along with 12 Semipalmated Plovers, and 1 SemiPalmated Sandpiper, and 24 Black-bellied Plovers.
