5/10/13 - Newington, Cedar Mountain - SWAINSON'S THRUSH. The big fallout
that's been predicted for today certainly held true on the mountain. We
tallied a total of 39 species including arrivals of Yellow-throated and
Red-eyed Vireos, Veery, Gray Catbird, Blue-winged & Magnolia Warblers,
Common Yellowthroat, and Ovenbird. Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Baltimore
Orioles were abundant. Of particular note with the latter was a pair of
males fighting on the ground.
