[CT Birds] Shore migrants Stratford - Cont'd

Additional Highlights along Stratford shoreline 5/9:
- Long Beach- PROBABLE RED-NECKED PHALAROPES: flock of 6-7 Sanderling-sized 
shorebirds flew west along beach, exhibiting wing stripe, black on head/neck, 
and needle thin bills. Unfortunately only a brief view as they zipped past. 
Also, Ruddy Turnstone, 18 Least Terns, 3 Common Terns, and the Glaucous (-like) 
Gull continues. And color banded [ black "U"? over Green "19" on left leg] 
Peregrine Falcon.
- Sikorsky Airport entrance/salt marsh- 13 Glossy Ibis, 2 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 
Greater Yellowlegs, 3 Least Sandpiper, 3 Am. Oystercatcher, many Willets.
- McKinney Refuge - 6 Black-bellied Plover, 6 Semipalmated Plover, 27 Least 
Sandpiper, 4 Semipalmated Sandpiper, 5 Short-billed Dowitcher, 14 Gray Catbirds, 
usual BOAT-TAILED GRACKLES (10), Saltmarsh Sparrow.
Cove Place - imm. Bonaparte's Gull.

5/9. Stratford Point - 7 Gray Catbirds, Balt. and Orchard Orioles, ad. 
White-crowned Sparrow.
- Cove Place / LI Sound - lots of DC Corms, RT and Com Loons migrating. Also 
some shorebirds including Semi Plover, Semi Sand, and SB Dows; Common Terns, 1 
Laughing Gull, Prairie Warbler, Balt Oriole.
