[CT Birds] Cicadas and Waxwings

6/9 - I also went to see the Periodical Cicadas in Meriden today, in the Gwen Road area. Even if you aren't a bug person you have to go see this emergence; it's quite a sight.
Large numbers of Cedar Waxwings in the neighborhood feasting on the cicadas. I also have been seeing more in the last week; they could be moving up the coast following the cicada swarms. No sign of any kites.
