Have a (chimney) swift beer in Willimantic Monday night - see below for details. If you can't make it, the swifts and (assuming we don't drink it all) the beer will be there later in the week!

> Hi Everyone,
> I just wanted to remind you about our celebration and swift watch on Monday night, July 1, at the Willimantic Brewery. The pub has brewed Flying Cigar Ale, which will donate portions of proceeds to chimney swift conservation and UConn and DEEP researchers will be on hand through the evening to chat chimney swifts with whomever will listen! If you plan to have dinner, we would recommend reservations, and I have put their number at the end of this email. We will collect outside on the patio at about 815. We expect the swifts to return to roost around sunset at 830 in Town Hall, as illustrated below by Judy Grund, Master Wildlife Conservationist. We will also offer a guided trip to the Old Nathan Hale Hall Roost, about a block down the road if people would like to see those swifts. The latest counts this week have reported just over 100 birds at the Town Hall roost, and between 200 -300 birds at the Nathan Hale Hall roost.
