val and chris melnikov. 07/31. Ash Creek, 11:45. Standing on mud flats.
Tall approx. 30-35". appears to be gray. wind ruffled feathers showed a rufous tint. thighs same. gray legs. no discernible eyebrow marking.
neck from base of bill a lighter gray.no ruffles, plumes. no white eye cheeks.
