I'm passing along news of this survey being conducted by the City of Hartford that may be of interest to those who bird in Hartford City Parks:

hi Patrick,

Please take a moment to complete this survey, and forward to others - especially bird watchers.

In order to identify any interest in the ecosystem health within city parks (and in extension open spaces along the North and South Branches of the Park River, you will have to utilize the "other" category. So for example if you go bird watching in Hartford Parks, or if you feel that City of Hartford ought to concentrate on water quality or restoration of the native understory, you will have to type that into "other"

It is important to note that City of Hartford Planning Department staff may not believe that management of healthy ecosystems is a critical 21st century planning issue.
