[CT Birds] Nighthawks

August 30th Ridgefield from Jim Hunter

225+ COMMON NIGHTHAWKS. I have not had access to post this but it was at least that many if not more. The first group of about 20 birds flew over the center of town at about 6:50-7:00 and were headed northeast but then turned around and headed south-southwest. There were groups of upto 20 but most were groups of 5-10 birds. Some very close to the ground just above the buildings. All birds were seen from the big parking lot behind Touch of Sedona from 6:50-7:45.
