[CT Birds] Hawkwatches This Weekend

     Tonight's stormy weather passage is expected to bring us northwest winds by morning and continuing into Sunday morning.  The favorable wind direction will provide migrating raptors and passerines the next opportunity to continue their movement southward.  Why not consider a hawkwatch this weekend?  You may see something you have never seen before  and the possibility of rarities always exists.  Among others in the state, Quaker Ridge Hawkwatch is located at 613 Riversville Road in Greenwich, on the grounds of Audubon Greenwich.  On September 5th of this year at Quaker Ridge Hawkwatch, we saw 4 adult Bald Eagles in one binocular view.  Here's the link from Hawkcount.org -
