[CT Birds] Possible WESTERN TANAGER, Naugatuck SF

  From:  Buzz Devine and Seth Harvey:
9/15/13  –  Naugatuck,  Naugatuck State Forest-West Block (Hunters Mt. Road 
section)   BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO, YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER,  and a 
possible WESTERN TANAGER.  These individuals were in the northwest 
section of the North Field along the woodland-field edge between 08:15 – 10:00 hrs.  WETA foraging with two Scarlet Tanagers high in a Tulip Tree.  
WETA not seen well due to foliage and limbs but appeared to be an adult 
with yellow below, black wings, distinct wing bars, and yellow head with slight red-orange flecking in the crown, lore and throat; bill flesh 
color.
