First thing, this morning, migrants were passing overhead, catching some
sunlight. Beyond identification, they seemed like ghosts in flight.
Very few birds dropped-in but they included a vocal, Blue-headed Vireo and
a Warbling Vireo that almost had me pulling the "Philadelphia" trigger.
This individual had a yellow wash in the throat, which extended very lightly
to the flanks and a good amount of white around the eye. But the
supercilium extended well past the eye and a very faint eyeline was about even in
front of and behind the eye. This bird also lacked the compact, short-tailed
build of a Philadelphia.
