9/28/13 - Sterling yard - 44 species - flight calls heard this morning included SWAINSON'S THRUSH (7) and GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH (2). Also in yard today - AMERICAN WOODCOCK, YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER, WOOD THRUSH, EASTERN TOWHEE (3), RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD (2 juvenile males), BLUE-HEADED VIREO, GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET (3) and a first for the yard flyover adult PEREGRINE FALCON (#172).
9/28/13 - Plainfield, Quinebaug Fish Hatchery - BLUE-WINGED TEAL (2), WOOD DUCK (6), OSPREY, PALM WARBLER, EASTERN PHOEBE (10), SCARLET TANAGER and LINCOLN'S SPARROW (2).
