Years ago (on Halloween actually) I had a Black Swan swim very stately along the beach line at Harkness Park in Waterford.
Subject: [CT Birds] Black Swan
Passing this along.
From Judy Richardson:
I was crossing the bridge over Hemlock Reservoir in Easton on Center Rd, when I saw a group of Mute Swans. Beside them, sleeping on one foot was a BLACK AUSTRALIAN SWAN! I assume it is an escapee from somewhere, but I have never seen it anywhere around here before, and it made my day.
