Audubon Connecticut, in collaboration with the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History, is running a workshop for conservation professionals entitled "Creating Bird Friendly Habitat".  The workshop will begin at the Peabody Museum with talks on the value of natural places within urban landscapes for migrating birds and other wildlife, what plants are most beneficial to birds, the risks associated with lawn pesticide use and organic lawn care.  Then we will head to the new Urban Oases Demonstration Habitat at East Shore Park for a tour of the habitat and a bird walk focused on migrating songbirds.

This free workshop is supported by the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund.  Additional information about the workshop can be found at: http://ct.audubon.org/events/nov-6-creating-bird-friendly-habitat-new-haven.

Please note space is limited.  If you would like to participate, RSVP to Audubon Connecticut, 203-869-5272 x239 or greenwichcenter at audubon.org.

Most Sincerely,
