Dear CT birders,
The Friends of the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge invite you to attend our Advocacy 101 Workshops hosted by Sandy Breslin, Director of Governmental Affairs for Audubon Connecticut.
The first workshop will take place from 1-3pm on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 at the Kline Geology Laboratory Auditorium (210 Whitney Avenue, New Haven). This workshop will focus on how individuals and organizations can advocate for natural resources at the federal level. Participants are welcome to take part in a networking bag lunch from 12-1pm. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided. RSVP to Sandy Breslin at sbreslin at audubon.org or at (203) 264-5098 x 306.
Additional workshops are planned for January 11th, April 5th, and July 12th, 2014 and will take place in Room 110 of Yale University's Environmental Science Center (21 Sachem St, New Haven). I am in the process of getting a flyer with the topics of the 2014 workshops up on Audubon's website and will post the url shortly.
Thank you and happy birding!
