[CT Birds] Cranes "out a here"?

The cranes were certainly not in the area an hour later, or least they were not seen by several cars' worth of birders. I wish I was following them south. There was a kestrel near the farm with the pond and I noted a distant flock of larks in the Christmas Tree farm. 

Nothing of note in a quick check of Broad Brook pond. Canada Geese are there in large numbers.

11/23 9:45 AM 9th District Rd with Denise Jernigan, could not find the 
cranes on the ground but while sitting by their last known field, all of a 
sudden there they were in the air. They circled a half dozen times, 
getting ever higher each time and then headed south. They must know 
something about tomorrow's weather!
