On 11/26/13 around 12:50 hrs. a clapper rail was observed walking along the edge of the small tidal pond just south of the Chimes Building at Greenwich Point. The bird didn't seem to mind the cars or people traveling by on the adjacent road as it foraged for food along the edge of the low marsh and mud flat. This is the first clapper rail I have seen @ the Point. Since it is after Nov. 1st, no beach card is needed to enter Greenwich Point Park.
