From Steve Broker (Cheshire):
12/01/13 - Moodus, Beebe Road in the vicinity of the Dill Farm (1:30 P.M.-2:00 P.M.) -- A brief pre-count survey of the Moodus area of the Salmon River CBC: 4 Eastern Meadowlarks (Dill Farm), 1 Grey Ghost Northern Harrier (field along Beebe Road and across from the Dill Farm), 2 Winter Wrens (edge of a shallow cove in Moodus Reservoir, same area). The Salmon River CBC has recorded Eastern Meadowlark just four times in the last 30 years. While CTSR gets Northern Harrier once every 3 years (more frequently in the last decade), this is the first time I've seen an adult male harrier in this area.
