12/2 -- East Granby, in corn field on the south side of Seymour Road: BARNACLE GOOSE with several thousand Canadas.

This location is basically at the Windsor/East Granby town line very near a roundabout in the road. At the town line Seymour Road becomes Rainbow Road. There is a massive corn field on the south side of the road extending for a good half mile or so. The geese were everywhere, but the Barnacle was with a group that could be seen directly south of a dirt road that is being used as access for logging trucks. This road is also marked as CT 540 (secret state road) on some maps.

As the goose flies this place is probably no more than 3 or 4 miles from the Day Hill Road area in Windsor, where I believe a Barnacle was recently seen. Same bird maybe? If so, it's in a new town. Oh yeah.
