Thanks to all the noble Rotting. Shivering flycatcher still there at 9:20,

Actually, there is a noble rotting, the Botrytis cinerea mold that, under ideal conditions, concentrates the sweetness of late-harvested raisin-like grapes and makes terrific sweet wines. And doesn’t that sound nice after being out at the Hadlyme ferry landing on a cold snowy morning? I think it’s the observers who did all the shivering; the bird is probably fine with it.
