12/21/13, New Haven, Long Wharf, very close to the Korean War and Vietnam memorial monuments - Snowy Owl, with plumage that looks like that of either an adult female or immature male. The bird was first located by Arne Rosengren at 11:15 am, re-located at about 1:40 by Florence and Michael McBride and Nancy Rosenbaum, and then again by Arne around 2:20 pm. Arne comments: This bird looked much smaller than the one in similar plumage (and at the same distance) that he saw at Long Beach Nov. 30, so he thinks it's likely to be an immature male.
