12/21 - Fairfield, Upper Ash Creek (as viewed from the Jewish Home for the
Elderly) -- 2 male EURASIAN WIGEON, 10 CANVASBACK; fantastic numbers of the
commoner waterfowl species: 28 Gadwall, 92 American Wigeon, 63 American
Black Duck, 20 Mallard, 2 Bufflehead, 7 Hooded Merganser, 12 Red-breasted

Stratford, Sikorsky Airport -- 1 light morph ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK, 6 HORNED
LARK
Stratford, Short Beach Road -- PEREGRINE FALCON
Stratford, Birdseye Boat Ramp -- 1 Green-winged Teal, 1 Great Cormorant, 12
American Coot
East Haven, Brazos Road -- 1 BARROW'S GOLDENEYE continues, 225 Greater
Scaup, 15 Long-tailed Duck, 150 Common Goldeneye, 23 Red-breasted
Merganser, 1 Red-throated Loon, 2 Common Loon, 1 Horned Grebe

We stopped by Edgewood Park (a terrific total of 30 species was recorded)
in New Haven and Circle Beach in Madison, but did not see the Rusty
Blackbirds or Iceland Gull, respectively.
