> Jack Kelly discovered a heron this afternoon that he was unsure of. He called me and I suggested Grey Heron by the description. Rey Larsen was called and then saw the bird and believes it's a GREY HERON. Photos have been taken. I wanted to get the word out quickly. I have not seen the bird and the following directions were given to me over the phone.
> Directions:
> On the west side of Aquidneck Ave on the Middletown/Newport border, park behind Paradise Cleaners. Walk behind the shop until you reach the berm and see the spillway. The berm separates Green End Pond from Easton's Pond. The bird is now working the South end of the berm, but was seen on the North side of the berm earlier. Two birders are looking at the bird now and a scope is needed.
> I think this is the 8th record for the ABA area.
