Viewed from west shore of Kosciuszco Park. In an small inlet. I thought it was a Bufflehead but the female definitely had a bushy crest on a brownish head. It looked like there might have been a few juveniles as well.

A yard bird high count of two Carolina Wrens at my kitchen window feeders
this morning, surprising after the "polar vortex" .  Song sparrows taking
very energetic baths in puddles on the lawn, showering the gold finches who
came to see what all the excitement was about. The local pair of RSHs were
on the power lines outside my living room windows watching for movement in
the field. across the road.
