[CT Birds] Gang of Grebes, Sherwood, etc.

1/16 Westport, Sherwood Is SP- lots of loons, ducks and water birds offshore this afternoon, including at least 133 HORNED GREBES. And that total was just off the East Beach! I didn't have time to thoroughly look for rarities such as Eared Grebe, but it is recommended to those who live nearby.

Norwalk, 14-Acre Pond - female BLUE-WINGED TEAL and immature male NORTHERN SHOVELER continue. The latter was in the small pond to the south of the Senior Center.

Stratford, Forest Rd. - 16 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS.
