Hi Donna, 

'Great find of TWO BCNHs.

I'd think that it's getting a bit late in the season for Black-crowned Night Herons.  It will be interesting if there are any subsequent sightings prior to their "return" in March.

Stratford Boat Ramp before this morning in the river/in the stream:  Canvasbacks, Loon, Coots, Wigeons, Green-Winged Teals, Red-Breasted Merganser, Pied Bill Grebe (2), Mallards, Black Duck, 2 Black Crowned Night Heron, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Harriers, and of course Gulls.  

Yesterday morning there was a juvenile Bald Eagle harassing the Gulls.

Less ice in the Housy today than yesterday.
